My front porch in Old Town Eureka is known as The Sunny Side. Southern exposure, protected from the wind, it is an ideal place to sit and play old timey tunes and watch the parade go by.

The Limeliters

I found this album today at Anglin's Second Hand. The guy in the middle with the bass is Lou Gottlieb. I met Lou in 1970 when I lived in Graton California. He owned property nearby known as Morningstar Commune, part of the Free Land movement of the sixties. He rode around the place on his Triumph motor cycle wearing shorts, no shirt, and his long hair flowing. He was real patient with the young hippies that lived on the premises.

I understand there are only six of these left. This one flew over the bay about fifteen minutes ago.

Zack's Back

Zack is back and brought his mom Julie along from Louisiana. They left Tuesday driving through Texas and got here yesterday. Julie will fly home next week. Tom is glad to see him as Zach is a skilled worker and Tom can keep him busy when the surf is flat.
