My front porch in Old Town Eureka is known as The Sunny Side. Southern exposure, protected from the wind, it is an ideal place to sit and play old timey tunes and watch the parade go by.

Digital TV Conversion Box

I got up this morning about a quarter to six, made coffee, turned on the TV to watch the channel 2 news from San Francisco and waited until the religious stuff went off and the news to begin. I'm especially interested in what kind of coverage they'll give about the small plane crash in Ohio. The item appeared in the Times Standard but did not mention the name of the pilot that died, Michael Connell. He was scheduled to testify about his involvement in the Ohio Presidential election fraud of 2004 orchestrated by Karl Rove. So six o'clock rolls around and rather than the news that I watch every morning they start playing another religious show. What the....?

I haven't received my coupon yet for the discount on the purchase of the conversion box and my TV channels have been all screwed up. I've lost all channels except 3, 23 and 33. My friend Stevo told me that all the channels have moved around and a few new ones added. I switched to 23 and got some more religion there. That pretty much set me off. I went into about a thirty minute diatribe to my girlfriend Laura about how the Christians had murdered and tortured folks for about a thousand years, burning books and libraries, entering text in books that didn't get burned, all in an effort to convert people to Christianity. And here they are, still at it. Taking over the TV, bumping my news program all in an effort to convert me from my heathen ways. I then switched the channel to 3 and saw the gospel choir from Hawaii and then I realized it wasn't Monday morning after all. It's Sunday. The Sunday before Christmas. Merry Christmas one and all.

Poor Daisy had to get stitches on her leg. Roscoe, Brother James and I played some tunes for her today on The Sunny Side.
