Location: Eureka, California, United States

My front porch in Old Town Eureka is known as The Sunny Side. Southern exposure, protected from the wind, it is an ideal place to sit and play old timey tunes and watch the parade go by.

Food For People

Tugboat Willy, Brother James and I, aka Twisted Geezer, played at the Food For People farmer's market style food distribution last Thursday. We had a blast and will do it again the third Thursday of next month. Here's some photos taken by our friend and archivist Humbug.

Roscoe and Billie breezed through town the other day. Rather than play music with him I opted to video record his tunes. He has such a great old timey approach and gets such wonderful tone out of his old fiddle. Here's a couple of waltzes.

And the old favorite, Red River Vally.

More of Roscoe's music on a playlist.

Relay For Life

Relay For Life is taking place at C/R this coming weekend. My thanks go to all the volunteers, such as Jeff Kelley and Ross Rowley and the many others that make our local effort such a success. Here is a video created by Ross for Relay For Life in 2001. Thank you Ross.

Helen Huck

My grandmother was born in 1903 in Kansas and passed away in 1993 in Watsonville, Ca. She would always organize great family reunions at different campgrounds around Santa Cruz. The last was for her 90th birthday in Watsonville. She was a wonderful woman. This photo was taken at Christmas, 1980.

Moving Picture Box

Ross Rowley has a little Sony moving picture box that somehow makes the pictures move on my big old 19 inch Sony box. With sound! Here's some pics by Humbug to prove it.
