My front porch in Old Town Eureka is known as The Sunny Side. Southern exposure, protected from the wind, it is an ideal place to sit and play old timey tunes and watch the parade go by.

Flatmo's Mural

The mural is beautiful. It was a great day in Old Town. But there was the smell of paint everywhere.

Say what you want about the Arkley's, but having Duane Flatmo commissioned to paint that mural is quite awe insipring. Remember, it could still be a run down department store rotting on the block.

I think this is one of Duane's shining moments. Duane Flatmo has added so much to the contemporary culture of this place and will definitely be a huge part of Humboldt history in years to come.

Ah, Vinnie. I truly feel blessed. Sometime I'll tell you about meeting Charlie Manson. He was a hippie.

Bob,the stench you're talking about is coming from the Dept. of Fish and Game building.Stand right across the street from there at Smug's and you'd catch a nice drift.

Really? Man, it's been everywhere. Even on 5th St. I sure hope they're done.

I don't think I want to hear about Manson. He scares me.

Those kids that ended up doing his bidding didn't heed the warning, 'Don't trust anyone over thirty'.
